​"Dziekuje. A Letter to Józef Gancarz", is a documentary about Jozef Gancarz, who was a leader in the Polish Resistance Movement. He was hung in the largest execution in Auschwitz, for aiding escapes. He was awarded the Silver Cross of Virtuti Militari, and the Auschwitz Cross. Filmed in black and white, and color, the documentary includes photographs, storyboards, filmmakers poems, and videos. Documentary was filmed in Krakow, Auschwitz, Rzeslow, and Laka, Poland, and includes interviews with Polish historians, and museum staff. Film is historical, with a beautiful poetic tribute, to a man of courage, and strength. Documentary also focuses on many other Polish prisoners in Auschwitz, who were executed with Józef. A touching, honest, dedication, accompanying great poetic verse.
